Volunteers at the library are called Friends of the Library. It is a loosely-knit organization with the purpose of meeting the growing needs of our library as it grows to meet the needs of our community.
Members donate their time and talent on an "as needed" basis in the areas they are most comfortable. That might be helping with used book sales, baking cookies for the Summer Reading Party, or helping with the card catalog.
We offer an Internship program for those, High School Juniors through College, who are interested in Library Science. By volunteering your hours, we will teach you all that goes into working in the field of Library Science.
We are always looking for new members to share their time, talent and excitement for how the library can touch and enrich lives in Wabash County!
Call or stop by the library to find out more. 765-833-5231
The Library offers a wide variety of programming for its patrons, however, we cannot do it without the help of our volunteers! If you would like to help by doing story time for preschoolers, or start a book discussion group for adults, teach a craft, or deliver books to shut-ins, please give us a call. Everyone has something to share. We look forward to working with you!
